[Case Study] Power Monitoring at a Ready-Mix Concrete Plant! The First Step Towards Reducing Electricity Costs

We recommend the installation of wireless devices and TWPM for customers who want to monitor the power consumption of each machine!

The customer was responsible for the accounting of a ready-mixed concrete factory and was troubled by not knowing the monthly electricity costs, how much power was consumed by the operation of each piece of equipment, and which equipment's operation could be reduced to lower electricity costs. Since it was the first time monitoring electricity at a ready-mixed concrete factory, we visited with a technician from our instrumentation department. We installed the demand monitoring device "CSA-109-T" and the demand display "CSA-109-D2" to allow them to check real-time power usage. After that, we proposed a method to automate power monitoring for each piece of equipment by installing "LoRa wireless devices" and "TWPM." [Case Overview] ■ Issues - How much power is consumed by the operation of each piece of equipment - Which equipment's operation can be reduced to lower electricity costs ■ Proposal: LoRa wireless devices, TWPM *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Development Case] Power Consumption Monitoring HEMS System

Awarded the System Integration Department Prize! Visualization of power consumption using iPad.

The "HEMS System" has been adopted for monitoring the power consumption of the all-air conditioning system "Kikubari," which realizes barrier-free temperature control by Azbil Corporation. Using an iPad, the visualization of power consumption is achieved not only for power consumption itself but also by measuring various signals from wireless sensors, which are then visualized on the iPad via a server. From measurement to server and web application for viewing, E.I. Sol has realized the entire system construction in a one-stop manner. This system won the Best System Integration Award among all alliance partners at the 2012 Application Contest. [Implementation Effects] - By adopting a cRIO with an embedded RTOS, a PC-less standalone power monitoring device can be constructed, allowing installation in distribution boards. - Since it was built as a one-stop solution by a single company, maintenance, upkeep, and responses to issues can all be managed and handled by one company. - In the event of channel increases or other occurrences, additional modules can be added, improving scalability. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Energy-saving Measures for Logistics Warehouses! Detailed Power Monitoring of Refrigerated and Freezer Storage

Real-time monitoring of the hourly power consumption of 17 freezers and refrigerators in the office!

In the customer's logistics warehouse, many packages are stored in refrigerators and freezers. They consulted us to understand the power usage situation when the refrigerator is full compared to when it is almost empty. Since they are not currently monitoring power usage, they expressed a desire to visualize power consumption by time period to grasp the current situation. We proposed our "Power Meter Converter TWPM" and "LoRa Wireless Device." The power supply for a total of 17 refrigerators and freezers is consolidated in the power distribution panel, so the system can be built with installation work only within the power distribution panel. [Case Overview] ■ Issues - Understanding power usage when the refrigerator is full versus when it is almost empty ■ Request: Visualize power usage by time period to grasp the current situation ■ Proposal: LoRa Wireless Device, TWPM *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
